Over 100 local kids to perform productions of Aladdin Kids

Stage Center (SC) and their School of Performing Arts (SoPA) are thrilled to announce the next production of their 13th Season, Disney’s Aladdin Kids, as part of the second session of their For Kids By Kids Summer Camp Adventures. Themed “Oh What A Night,” the 2024 season promises a lineup of unforgettable hits that will delight our community.

This marks the fourth production of the SoPA season, opening on July 26, 2024, for a four-performance run with two separate casts at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on the Centenary College Campus. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Monday, July 8, online at StageCenterLA.com or by calling/texting (318) 218-9978.

Stage Center’s FKBK Camps

Modeled after the Junior Theater Festival Experience, their FKBK Camps are designed to blend skills-based and performance classes. Students work on a JR. (1hr) or Kids (30min) length production (minus the technical elements) and receive intensives in acting, singing, and dancing at camp. Using only the tools of the actor (imagination, body, voice), their camp productions are performed in the great tradition of Shakespeare’s Old Globe, with a bare stage, simple lighting, and teamwork to effectively tell a great story.

About Aladdin Kids

Disney’s Aladdin Kids will feature over 100 local K-8th graders split into two separate casts. The production is directed by SoPA Director of Education, Liesl Cruz, with choreography by Anne Brown and musical direction by Eddie Carney.
