Cork 2024, wine festival returns for its 18th year
Red River Revel’s annual fundraiser, CORK, the area’s premier wine festival, returns for the 18th year on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the upper pavilion of Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. The annual wine fundraiser event showcases over 90 wines, delectable bites from local restaurateurs, live music, raffle items benefiting the Red River Revel, vendor booths from Kendra Scott and Clean Slate Botanicals, and a special pop-up package store by Thrifty Liquor.
What is CORK 2024?
Created in 2005 as a fundraising event benefitting the Red River Revel Arts Festival, CORK, annually attracts over 1,000 wine enthusiasts and revelers to Festival Plaza for an afternoon of music, food, fun, and of course, wine!
The event will feature multiple wine booths pouring 90+ quality wine varieties from a carefully curated list including reds, whites, sparkling, sweets, and rosés. Republic National Distributing Company and Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits provide the wine as well as the staff to share knowledge about each brand and type.
In addition to the wine, guests will enjoy bite-size food portions from local restaurateurs including Mi Meza Latin Cuisine, Newk’s Eatery, We Olive & Wine Bar, Niema’s Cookery Corner, Vegans on the Run, Kajun Kroner Food Express, Earnestly Tootie’s, The Smoking Oyster, Texas Roadhouse, and Great American Cookies at Provenance Place.
Entertainment at CORK 2024
CORK XVIII will feature two stages of live music this year featuring singer/songwriter Haley Brooke on one stage and saxophonist, De’Lontrell Thomas, on the other stage.
Along with the live music, a score of raffle items will be available to win, including jewelry by Kendra Scott, rare whiskeys, tickets to local events such as ARTini, Beast Feast, and Christmas in Roseland, a signed and framed Joe Burrow jersey, and more.
Guests can visit the Clean Slate Botanicals booth for locally handcrafted candles and scents and the Kendra Scott booth for jewelry gifts with a percentage of sales benefiting the Red River Revel.
Lastly, guests can visit the Thrifty Liquor special pop-up store to purchase bottles of their favorite wine tastings.
