Stage Center (SC) & their School of Performing Arts proudly announce the final SoPA production of their 13th Season, Mary Poppins (Junior Edition.) Themed “Oh What A Night” the 2024 season has been packed with unforgettable hits that have delighted our community, as this production surely will too. This marks the final SoPA production of the season, which will open December 5, 2024 for a one-week run at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on the Centenary College Campus.

Celebrating 60 Years of Practical Perfection! Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins continues to capture hearts around the world!

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”

Directed by Jared Watson, Mary Poppins JR is a musical based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film, with choreography by Kaitlyn Brown, and musical direction by Liesl Cruz.

Performances are at 6 pm on Dec. 5 and 6; 11 am and 2 pm on Dec. 7; and 2 pm on Dec. 8. Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $15 for students and kids.
