Prize Foundation prepares to launch into 2023

On Wednesday, February 8th from 5:00-7:30 PM Prize Foundation Prize crew will host the 2023 season kickoff and the inaugural Golden Lens Showcase. The event is free and all filmmakers, photographers, musicians, creative minded people, and lovers of the Prize are invited to attend.

“This event will not only celebrate all that we accomplished in 2022, but we will be celebrating all that we are striving to accomplish in 2023,” said Gregory Kallenberg , founder and Executive Director of the Prize Foundation. “We are so excited to raise a glass together and celebrate the start of a new year for the Prize and all the good we are going to do for our community.”

The Prize Foundation will be reporting its record breaking numbers from 2022, and they will present the action packed schedule for 2023. The Film Prize portion of the event will also include the awarding of three $1,000 grants for local filmmakers and officially announce the inclusion of Film Prize as one of Moviemaker Magazine’s “Best Short Film Festivals in the World”.

The event will also feature a photography showcase and competition called the Golden Lens. The Golden Lens is an event dreamed up by Jen Robison and is in partnership with Bossier Parish Community College. The audience will be able to vote on their favorite photo taken during Prize Fest.
