ShrevePride announces Q-Prom 2024: “Born This Way”

ShrevePride cordially invites you to raise your paws and party because you were “Born This Way!” Everyone in the Ark-La-Tex, regardless of who you are or who you love, is invited to join the region’s largest Pride Month event: Shreveport Q-Prom 2024, a night inspired by the music and style of Lady Gaga. Q-Prom is the second chance prom experience of the summer and takes place Saturday, June 22nd from 7:00 pm – 12:00 am at Artspace in downtown Shreveport.

“We are so excited to celebrate Pride Month with everyone in our community and visitors from out of town to enjoy,” says co-founder Sam Ortiz. “With Shreveport Q-Prom and other celebrations, Shreveport really has become the regional destination for Pride Month.”

What is Q-Prom 2024?

Shreveport Q-Prom 2024, which started in 2019, has quickly become the Ark-La-Tex’s largest Pride Month event and offers a second chance to experience an important life event: prom. Whether you didn’t go, didn’t get to go as who you are, or if you want to relive that night again, ShrevePride invites you to join in the festivities. No matter how you identify, a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or are an ally, you won’t want to miss the hottest Pride Month event.

What is the theme?

This year’s theme is “Born This Way” and will feature a multi-floor adventure with seven spaces inspired by the world of Lady Gaga. Unique experiences, games, and entertainment – including live music, interactive moments, drag performances, and more wait around every corner.

“There’s a little Gaga in all of us — confident and vulnerable, colorful and bombastic ,” states Chris Lyon, ShrevePride co-founder. “You can dress on theme or in your best prom attire. Take the new love in your life, go with friends, or arrive solo.”

Tickets Details

Tickets to Q-Prom 2024 are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Purchase tickets at www.shrevepride.com. For those who would otherwise be unable to attend, ShrevePride offers Scholarship Tickets, funded by the event’s generous sponsors, in order to keep Q-Prom accessible to everyone.

“Scholarship Tickets offered for each event are so important to the mission of ShrevePride,” says organizer Nicole Ortiz. “Ability to pay should not be a barrier for anyone to enjoy Pride!”

ShrevePride Q-Prom: Born this Way is open to all over 16 years of age. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

ShrevePride is a local organization focused on providing diverse, inclusive, affordable, safe spaces for our region’s entertainment that are created with the LGBTQIA+ community in mind.
