Shreveport’s Willie Jones featured on Beyoncé’s new album

Shreveport native Willie Jones is featured on Beyoncé’s new country album, Cowboy Carter. Cowboy Carter is the second of her three-album trilogy that started with Renaissance.

Jones is featured on the song “JUST FOR FUN.” It was originally believed he was to be featured on the track “YA YA” after Jones shared one of Beyoncé’s posts featuring the album’s song list to his Instagram story. The story’s caption read, “My puppy YAYA bout to have a new theme song!” After the album’s release, Jones has been confirmed to only be featured on the one song.

Willie Jones’ success

Willie Jones has already seen great success in the entertainment industry, with over 347,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone. His previous hit songs include “Down by the Riverside,” “Bachelorettes on Broadway,” and “Back Porch.”

He gained widespread attention in 2012 when his X Factor audition, featuring a rendition of Josh Turner’s “Your Man” went viral on social media. Since then he has emerged with a distinct and confident musical style that blends elements of country, R&B, and hip-hop.

Jones is signed by major record label Sony Music Entertainment. Cowboy Carter is now available on all major streaming platforms.
